WHY WE PADDLE

Each October, over 450 paddlers, survivors, caregivers, and supporters set off across the ocean for a voyage that is more than just a paddle—it’s a journey of healing, remembrance, and community.

Paddle for Life is a 36-mile roundtrip canoe journey from Maui to Lāna‘i and back, raising critical funds and awareness for cancer patients and families across Maui County. This event honors those touched by cancer, uplifts our community, and keeps cultural traditions alive through connection, purpose, and aloha.
